Trainbase holds some of the most personal things a person shares: their body, what they eat, how they train and what they tell their coach. These pages say how we look after it.

Each line can be held up against the product and should match what Trainbase does today. Where we don't do something yet, we say that too.

who owns what

  • A gym's client records belong to the gym. The business that runs a client's coaching holds their records, and decides who in the gym can see them.
  • A coach's private library belongs to the coach. Foods, exercises and programs a coach makes for themselves stay theirs, and no other coach sees them. A coach who leaves a gym can take a copy of them.
  • A client can have their own data. A client can download a copy of it from settings at any time, and ask for their account to be deleted.
  • Trainbase owns the software, never your data. We use your data only to run Trainbase for you. We don't sell it.

The full terms are in "who owns what" in the terms of use. To ask for your data, write to hello@trainbase.io.

what we don't claim

Trainbase holds no SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certificate, and no outside firm has tested it for weaknesses. Sign-in is by password only: we don't offer a second sign-in step yet. We'd rather say so than show a wall of badges. If your business needs a formal attestation, tell us.
